LW Well Represented at WOSSAA XC

It was cold and windy yesterday, but that doesn't seem to phase cross country runners very often. Yesterday, I wore pants, a t-shirt, long sleeve, zip up hoodie and winter coat. The crew pictured above look ready for summer. XC athletes are tough. Wind, rain, cold temperatures, it doesn't matter, they run. And when a trip to OFSAA is on the line, they run fast. While most of the club is just getting started up, this crew is just finishing, and on a high note! On Monday, while everyone else was recovering from eating too much turkey, they were on a flight to Doha, Qatar for the IPC World Track and Field Championships. To maintain a competition-ready level of fitness well into October is no easy task. Our hats off to Chris Williams (Madison and Cody's coach) and John Allan (Kevin Strybosch's coach) for keeping

We wanted current members and potential new members who visit the site to be able to quickly find what they are looking for and with our new layout and menu options, we've accomplished that. Current members wanting to see what meets are coming up can click on Schedule for a full listing of cross country and track and field meets as far ahead as the next season, pr
