Outdoor Season Off to Hot Start

Fresh off the whirlwind high school season, London Western got right down to business with the start of the club outdoor season. AO Combined Events Championships were in Ottawa on June 10-11, AO Jr/Sr Championships were in Windsor on June 17-18, Canada Summer Games Trials were at York University on June 23-25 and the District A Legion Qualifier was in LaSalle on June 23-24. Midget and youth athletes that have qualified for the District A Team will compete at Legion Provincials in Windsor on July 14th and 15th. From there, athletes will be selected to represent Team Ontario at the Legion National Championships in Brandon, Manitoba. Team Ontario for Canada Summer Games will be announced on J


And just like that, the high school season is over. Thank you to all of the high school coaches and volunteers in London and across the province for helping put together another great season. And, of course a special thank you to our own coaches for putting together a fantastic squad to represent their schools this year. You guys are the best and we have the banners to prove it! In less than ideal conditions, our athletes persevered once again. Our athletes had great performances with many achieving new personal bests. We are so proud of each and every one of our athletes and of how well they did this high school season! Lauren Hurrell jumped a personal best 3.25m to win JG Pole Vault.
