Pan Am Games Hopefuls To Compete This Weekend

It’s provincial championship weekend for our Junior and Senior athletes! It’s also the last chance to qualify for the Pan Am Games and we have a lengthy list of club members either currently in position to represent Canada, or within striking distance. It will be an exciting weekend of competition. The top 2 athletes in each event will represent Canada in Toronto this summer. Here’s a breakdown of our members looking to make the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto… Damian Warner - Decathlon. No surprises here. Damian is ranked #1 and will not be competing this weekend. It was stage 3 on the #roadtoOFSAA this past weekend, with OFSAA West Regionals being held at TD Stadium. It was hot, muggy and windy on Friday and much of the same on Saturday, until a torrential downpour caused a 45min delay. But, many of our athletes stepped up and are moving on to OFSAA next weekend in Toronto. Along with those moving on, many others put on a great show with personal bests or near personal bests in a region that is always tough. Each one of you, while representing your schools, did London-Western proud and your coaches, as well as the board are impressed with your accomplishments.
